Let’s meet Terence O’Donnell, NexSys Director and an Associate Professor in UCD School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. Terence has a PhD from UCD and worked in the National Microelectronics Research Centre (NMRC, now Tyndall National Institute) in Cork and with Enterprise Ireland before returning to UCD in 2013.

Lisa has a PhD in environmental economics from University College Dublin (UCD), a Masters in Economics and other postgraduate and undergraduate degrees in economics and chemical engineering from UCD and Colorado School of Mines, USA.
Let’s meet Dr Vikram Pakrashi, Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering at UCD and lead of the NexSys Offshore Wind strand. Vikram is a Chartered Engineer and Fellow of Engineers Ireland. He is the current EU president of Eurostruct, The European Association on Quality Control of Bridges and Structures.

Let’s meet Dr Stefan Müller, Assistant Professor in the School of Politics and International Relations at University College Dublin. Stefan established the Text and Policy Research Group and is a core member of the Connected_Politics Lab, as well as co-author of the quanteda R package. Stefan was recently selected as a member of the Young Academy Ireland and is a recipient of a UCD University Teaching Award.

Let’s meet Dr. Paula Carroll, Paula is Associate Professor and NexSys funded investigator in the UCD School of Business. Paula’s background is in electrical engineering. She has considerable experience in both academia and industry. She has also lectured in DCU. Paula was academic director of the Bachelor of Commerce (International) programme from 2013-2017.

Let's meet Dr Conor Sweeney. Conor is a Lecturer/Assistant Professor in Applied and Computational Mathematics in the School of Mathematics and Statistics in UCD. He’s a Funded Investigator within the NexSys strategic partnership, as well as Deputy Director of the UCD Earth Institute, a member of the UCD Energy Institute, and President of the Irish Meteorological Society.
