Saba, a NexSys PhD student, has been awarded the MacElroy Energy Research Bursary 2025

Saba Aghdam Tabar, a PhD student under the NexSys programme, has been awarded the MacElroy Energy Research Bursary 2025 by the School of Chemical and Bioprocess Engineering.

The MacElroy Energy Research Bursary, sponsored by Professor Donal MacElroy, is awarded to an outstanding research graduate student based on a submitted essay and a presentation. Saba’s research focuses on developing innovative solutions to support the energy transition and enhance sustainability in wastewater treatment. Her research is being supervised by (opens in a new window)Dr Recep Kaan Dereli and (opens in a new window)Dr Sarah Cotterill.
